Migrated from original Mech wiki:

The Maybach phenomenon is the warping of space into a spherical shape using several focused Higgs boson emission beams. The resulting "bubble" in space can be used to surround an object or particle in the larger dimensional substrate. Though there are many ways of creating such a high level of warping of space, the advantage of this method is that the bubble can be expanded or contracted with the simple irradiation by gravitons or anti-gravitons, respectively. The end result is analogous to creating a loop of string, placing something inside the loop, and pulling it tight.

A specific Maybach "bubble" is commonly referred to as "a Maybach", and is used in a wide array of applications. One of the most notable uses is in power generation where is is used to create ultra high density regions of space around Tritium or Deuterium, wherein spontaneous fusion can occur.
