Issue description

As a Vet Center director or outreach specialist, I would like the option of adding additional features to my pages so that I can determine what makes the best sense for my situation and staffing.

Examples:

Tasks

mmiddaugh commented 2 years ago

As a Vet Center Outreach specialist/director, I want to have a place on my web page to list service partner links so that my clients can easily find them.

Related: Community engagement and Veteran connections are services which are required on pages currently, but neither label is entirely intuitive or Veteran facing and the two are often misunderstood by Vet Center page editors. We could consider renaming/clarifying these labels for this purpose - or creating a new are for this use.

For simplicity, the Vet Center MVP allowed only one photo/location. During roll-out, we've seen several use cases where more than one photo is needed to fully support wayfinding.

Scenarios include:

Some Vet Centers are located in large complexes where the view from the road is important but does not help a Veteran to find their building once they are in the parking lot. Some Vet Centers have asked to include images of private rooms which are available for Veterans to decompress after visits. Vet Centers in large buildings may need to show the exterior of the building in one image and another for the entrance, which might not be easily seen in the exterior shot. An image of a Mobile Vet Center interior space might reassure Veterans about privacy. As RCS Vet Center leadership, I want to ensure that every Vet Center has at least one local spotlight.

Use case: Reno Vet Center had one spotlight which they removed after the event date. They did not add (or did not correctly save) a replacement spotlight so they exist in Prod with no local spotlights. image Now closing [CONSIDER] Vet Centers should have at least one local spotlight department-of-veterans-affairs/va.gov-team#31682

As result of the work to standardize accordions (https://github.com/department-of-veterans-affairs/va.gov-team/issues/24636), the accordions are visually inconsistent on Vet Center pages.

The FAQs at the bottom of the page do not have a border around the content when open. Service accordions do have a border around the content when open. This is likely occurring in other locations across VA.gov but is immediately evident on Vet Center pages due to the proximity of the two accordion types. The Call Center alert on Vet Center pages uses a hard coded header but pulls the alert text from Drupal. The alert would be more flexible if the header also came from Drupal.

Dev notes alert text comes from Drupal fieldCcVetCenterCallCenter Copied from Pull Vet Center alert header text from Drupal department-of-veterans-affairs/va.gov-team#29544 which I am now closing

Feature request from Jessica for Vet Centers: As Vet Center leadership, I would like Vet Center editors to be able to select operating status details for my Vet Center from a predefined list so that I can ensure consistent messaging and so my editors can be more efficient.

As a Social Media Influencer I want to share a Vet Center link on social media (Twittter, Facebook) and have that share present a good UX via metadata use (OG/Twitter) so that my Veteran followers can easily understand and engage with that social media share.

As Vet Center Central Office staff, I would like to make new content (from press releases/blogs/etc) available to Vet Center Field staff to use as local Spotlight content.

Use case: local staff would like to use new national content in an available local Spotlight box

During Vet Center pilot phase, we added logic to check to see if a Vet Center location added as a "Nearby" location is published to determine data source (CMS or Lighthouse). This logic was necessary so that unpublished content within CMS would not be displayed on the front end.

See https://github.com/department-of-veterans-affairs/va.gov-team/issues/24312 for details.

Once Vet Center pages are rolled out nationally, all locations will be published and this duplicate code will not longer be needed.

When a Veteran navigates to the Facility Locator by clicking on the link in the "Vet Centers in other areas" area of a Vet Center Locations page, the facility type should be prepopulated with Vet Centers. Moved from department-of-veterans-affairs/va.gov-team#23262 which I will now close

Some Vet Center CAPs locations are considered" contract for fee" -> a private practice in a community is contracted by the VA to provide counseling services. These locations cannot offer the same services in all case (MST support may not be available in contract for fee settings). Because of this difference, it may be useful to be able to identify these contracted locations so that separate decisions can be made about them (i.e. making them available elsewhere in the ecosystem). Some Outstations (i.e. Helena outstation) are very similar in maturity to full Vet Centers and may have dedicated staff, daily hours and a full suite of services. - Having an individual page would make the details of those services available to Veterans and service members. Because they appear on the Locations page of for the parent Vet Center, they aren't findable in their own right. Veterans do not know to search for these locations in the context of a main Vet Center. For example, Helena Outstation is technically under Great Falls Vet Center. These locations are two hours apart and it would not occur to a Veteran or service member to look for services by searching for a local facility using Great Falls.

TO DO: Once 2.0 scope is confirmed in #17661 , if anything from the Enhancements epic is included, need to move that ticket to the 2.0 epic.
