[EPIC] [Events v3 - Future State] Events filters

Background

https://github.com/department-of-veterans-affairs/va.gov-team/issues/42556 tracked many requests from VEO for 2021, including Events V2 filters to add:

• Filter by Specific date
• Filter by Custom date range
• Filter by Past vs. Upcoming events

That epic's scope was managed by the previous Public Websites team, whose contract expired mid-April 2022. Initial work toward the V2 launch, in some portions, was completed under the original epic in Q4 2021 / Q1 2022.

After contract change in April 2022, Events V2 filters shipped on June 7, 2022, alongside Recurring Events (#1956). This epic tracks the last mile tasks performed for the June 6 launch, and remaining work to complete V2 bug fixes & remove V1 code from the repository.

User Story or Problem Statement

As a veteran, I need to filter events by a specific date or range of dates, so I can find the most relevant events I'm free to attend. As a veteran, I need to easily see upcoming events, rather than past events.

Acceptance Criteria

9141 articulates testing needs

Change management triage

6066 describes change management for recurring events.

Events V2 filters does not require change management.

Filters to explore:

• location filter, requiring lat/long lookup from Mapbox
  • largest Veteran request from Medallia data
  • CMS design would need editor to verify address populating from Mapbox
  • this is a big lift and likely to become it's own epic
• categories, could match/pull from benefit taxonomy: disability, VA health enrollment, etc. and consult with CAIA
• hybrid/online events
  • Multiple locations with online and in person sometimes multiple in person locations for town halls, how might this impact registrations/rsvp/etc
