Content model: Required detail pages

Background

Certain health services are required at every VAMC. Each of these have detail pages associated with health services. The detail pages have a common design pattern, including a staff profile and photo for a named "Care coordinators" (exception: Women Veterans Program Manager for Women's Veteran Care).

Most of the content on these required health service pages is locally editable but eligible for hardening as it is largely national program content and could be controlled by VHA Digital Media, rather than local editors.

Note: Manila (which does not yet have modernized pages and will likely need special handling (like Lovell, but different) needs to be considered in this hardening effort as they can only legally treat service-connected conditions.

Goals

Change the structure of detail page content so that

• some content can be reusable
• national program content is consistent and cannot be edited locally
• the editorial experience is enhanced and efficient

Initial conclusions

• Title and intro- can be hardened to national content
• Table of contents- is intended for very long pages per the style guide and therefore will not be needed on these pages
• Featured content - component was initially intended for use only on Suicide prevention pages to emphasize VCL but has been used by editors for other relevant program specific call centers
• Care coordinator/Staff profile- there is a requirement to provide named contacts - adding at least one will be necessary 
  • will need to determine which contact details should be expected and which might be useful, i.e. hours of operation/availability)
  • Some facilities have multiple coordinators listed  "Care we provide" - section already uses description from system health service of the same name Program specific content- Editors are inserting program-specific content in a somewhat consistent way which should be centralized
  • Consider character limits for program description and/or program specific call line
