Because VAOS pulls in VA appts from VistA and VVC (Va Video Connect) appts from VCM (Virtual Care Manager), if the user is not paying attention can double book or make overlapping VA and VVC appointments.
Steps to Recreate:
Schedule appt in VCM. Verify displays in VAOS
In VAOS try to schedule a VA appointment at same time of existing VA appointment. VAOS will display the following: We couldn’t schedule this appointment. We’re sorry. Something went wrong when we tried to submit your appointment and you’ll need to start over. We suggest you wait a day to try again or you can call your medical center to help with your appointment.
Whereas if you try to schedule a VA appointment at the same time as an existing VVC appointment, there is nothing to stop you. Expected results: Some type of waring or something to prevent double booking. Actual Result: Veteran is able to double book appointments.
I am not sure we can do anything to prevent this so I thought I would just log a ticket. Note, when the appointments display back on the pending list of appointments if veteran is paying attention the double booked appointments display. So there is some visibility there.
@marcynadeau In step 2 of the Steps to Recreate, you mention "VAOS will display the following" I want to clarify if you're saying it currently does this or if this is your suggestion.
