hello @sporeboy @jason-gcio Hello! here is my content feedback for Design Intent touchpoint (mostly questions and thoughts!). Let me know if you have any questions.

Thoughts/questions

  1. When will the popup modal show for a user? How will a user get to it?

  2. I recommend adding a line or two of intro content on the popup modal to set up this page, so users understand the intent of this modal and why they are seeing it (screen 1-2.) This question was answered in the meeting. I recommend you work with sitewide content on this introduction

  3. Content under these headers “how do I add a dependent to my VA disability benefits” and “when should I notify VA about a dependents on my benefits?” duplicate content that is also on this page: https://www.va.gov/disability/add-remove-dependent/ (screens 3-4) Do we need this content in both places? How are these pages related? This question was answered in the meeting. Please disregard here!

  4. CTA button is far down the landing page. I recommend trying to move it further up page (screens 3-4). I also recommend condensing the language. Rather than "add and change dependents on your VA Benefits" could the button say: "Update your VA dependents" I recommend you work with sitewide content on button language

  5. On screen 1-2: The content under “When should I notify VA about dependents on my benefits” is duplicate of the language on the Your VA dependents landing page This question was addressed during the meeting

  6. For the CTA buttons on the popup,

    • What is the next screen if user clicks "Make change"?
    • What is next screen if they choose "This is correct" ?
  1. Will the header “Dependents not on your VA benefits” show if a user doesn't have any information or dependents? (screens 3-4)

9 Regarding this subhead: "How do I add a dependent to my VA disability benefits?" Should this header be more general and say just "VA benefits" vs. "VA disability benefits"? or is this tool specific to dependents on for disability benefits.

Must

  1. The content under the Need help? section isn't correct, as it mentions a “selected representative” Please be sure to drop in correct Help content for this tool. (screens 3-4)

Should

  1. Please spell out Social Security number, to follow guidance in style guide and VA.gov label masterlist

  2. Will users only see this content if they click on the grey card-- “to remove this dependent from your VA benefits, please enter the information below" If so, I recommend we make this more prominent, so users don't have to expand the card to see this content. (screen 4)

  3. Please update the below labels to align with the form label masterlist and our voice/tone guidelines

Reason marriage ended > Why did this marriage end? Date marriage ended > When did this marriage end?

  1. Suggest updating the Remove button on grey cards should be more descriptive so it’s clear what has happened. My recommendation is to update it to: "Remove this dependent" to tie it more closely to the dependent on the gray card. (screen 4)
