10/21/2021: Gina to ask Joe how results should look like in today's Digital Engagement session.

For now, can someone look at the details on what sort of changes we are looking at? Do we have to also change querying in GIDS? We want to get an idea of scope for this. The results details are still pending, but we'll have that by Thurs, Mar 31.

What work is necessary for this story to be completed?

  1. Create sandbox version for new design
  2. Design for new refine tuition modal.
  3. If nothing in GIDS needs to be changed, then the search should be conditionally changed to location or by name based on content.

Questions • Will cards remain the same? • Where will cards be positioned? • Where will the map be positioned? • Will filter options remain the same? • Should just the 1st tab be eliminated? • Should the change happen all at once or should veterans have an option between the old and new search until it’s completely rolled out? • Still need to know if anything in GIDS needs to be changed (Could probably automatically change the nature of the search based on content entered). • Should the map show even if we search using a name?

What will be created or happen as a result of this story? • The tab switched search will be eliminated and the tab element will be removed • A new single search option will be created (as opposed to by name or by location) • The tabs for location or search will be removed.

This story is part of the entire Search Page redesing. AFS UX is currently conducting some research and wireframe designs for a recommended solution. Wireframes will be shared with EDU once AFS approves the design. We may work on this story, we may not and decide to close it and open a new one.

AFS provided HCD wireframes and proposals approved by the Platform Design team to EDU and OIT POs. EDU requires to determine how they want to approche future CT improvements.
