Found out from Perigean, that recruiting bilingual remotely is much more feasible. Per Perigean "Given that our contract stipulates 'Participants must be able to speak and understand English,' we are not recruiting for low English proficiency." It also seems they do not provide a translator resource. @ytsaoca @benbrasso-agile6 Next step: Being able to conduct the multilingual onsite will depend on our confidence in intercepting patients who speak Spanish as a primary language / bilingual. If we don't have a translator, we'd need to speak to those with basic level of English proficiency or bilingual and observe how they interact with CI and PCI in their preferred language. To better assess the translation, we can conduct remote moderated with bilingual Veterans (which could compliment any insights gained from the intercept testing).
Our recommendation: Per discussion with UX and product, we plan on conducting user testing (with a content focus) of the Spanish experience with bilingual Veterans/caregivers in a remote, moderated study. This allows us to focus on other themes/features/areas for the August on-site study. We'll decide on the details of that in the upcoming sprint. @kristenmcconnell @benbrasso-agile6 @loripusey

Background
We are conducting user research and usability testing of the Spanish content for pre-check-in and check-in. Before executing on the research study, we need to scope the work. For instance, decisions need to be made regarding: Execution of study: In-person, moderated or ; remote, moderated? Feasibility of Spanish translation support: Are we confident we can have a translator? Appointment types: Do we include telephone appointments, in-person or both?
