Thoughts/questions

The landing page as currently designed, tells the vet that they can connect a device to their VA account. Though we understand why vets should want to do that, many of them will not, unless we tell them.

Feedback

• Must = the feedback must be applied
• Should = the feedback is best practice
• Consider = suggestions/enhancements

Must:

• Work with Sitewide Content and IA to determine where the page should live in the site
• Apply Content and IA's feedback to structure of breadcrumbs on prototype
• Write and prototype the finished email outreach that will go out the full veteran's group
• Set this prototype email as the entry point for your team's UXR test
  • When testing the email prototype, pay close attention the participants' "think-aloud" observations to evaluate its effectiveness.
  • Incorporate feedback on email user acceptance into text and layout revisions of email

Should:

• Medical device brand names are seldom familiar and may not be clearly visible on the exterior of device itself, so it's probable that many users won't associate them with the thing they use every day.
  • Add a line with "device type" (e.g. "Glucose monitor") so that patients and caregivers who don't recognize the brand name understand what's being tracked.
• Use landing page text to gently and simply "sell" the benefits of connecting a monitoring device to one's account.

Consider:

• Treating the outreach email and landing page as components of an online marketing campaign.
  • Though the VA is offering this service to veterans free of monetary charge, it is asking them to contribute their time and attention to doing an unfamiliar task at the expense of whatever else they were planning to with that time.
  • tl;dr: Let people know the good things they're getting in exchange for their time and effort

@jimuhh Can you please reiterate the feedback around the breadcrumbs structure? It isn't mentioned in the Content feedback ticket.

Reviewed the VA design system here and found that since DHP content is flat, breadcrumbs aren't required.
