This epic is in the Platform roadmap and was slated to start last month. But I cannot tell from this issue nor the linked Product brief, both of which seem to be just incomplete templates, what the work is, who would be doing it, and when. I do believe this is a worthwhile initiative and I'm interested in seeing this work start. cc @naomimarcussen

I know @jknipes is working on a research plan that will work towards some IA improvements.

This is an old Epic that was a placeholder for the research. A research plan has now been created and we have begun adding related issues to this epic.
