@eileen-coforma thanks for the ticket and for the working session in office hours last week! Let me know if you have any questions on the below suggestions I have for you:

1/ If you can make this update across the form, it would be great (what's there now is passive voice, which we try to stay away from:

We'll save your application every time you add or update information.

2/ For the "Need help?" text--you just need to remove "24 hours a day, 7 days a week." I think you pasted in the new text but just didn't remove this old text. Thanks!

3/ Request an extension:

If you're requesting an extension (extra time) to file VA Form 10182 for good cause, you'll need to tell us why you have good cause.

Examples of good cause:

4/ Request an extension: Tell us why you have good cause for an extension.

Examples of good cause:

Couple questions for you, Eileen: Could we stack the copy above the text box so it won't run too far over to the right beyond the box? (See below, and note that I edited the text a bit and moved "Required" to immediately follow.) Do we know what that will look like on mobile as it appears now vs stacked? Also, does the design system specify regular text above a box vs some kind of header text?:

Reason for requesting an extension (Required) 2300 character max.

5/ Instead of "Veterans Health Administration (VHA) denial," please change to: "Denial of VA health care benefits"

And change the question to: "Are you appealing a denial of VA health care benefits?"

@bethpottsVADEPO Thank you so much for the help Beth.

I sent the copy over to the Board of Veterans Appeals for review, and they came back with a recommendation to take examples of 'good cause' out, because they don't want to give erroneous examples. I've turned the question back to ask for some correct and common examples, but I'm not sure if they will provide it, since they're on a case-by-case basis.

Given this feedback, I may need to request copy edits for static page: https://www.va.gov/disability/file-an-appeal/board-of-veterans-appeals/ since that's where the examples exist.

I'll let you know if there's any further development, or if we have to take that piece of the copy out.
