Cypress fails when it imports components that import utilities with yarn import syntax #49851

This thread can be summarized as follows:

platform was converted to yarn workspaces
an eslint rule warns devs to use yarn import syntax when importing from a platform folder
when cypress tests a page that imports using the yarn import syntax it is unable to resolve the import and the test errors out.

This issue was surfaced 6 months ago and has not been readdressed since. As it's not actively breaking anything on the site and has not been brought up since, lowering the priority on this as it does not seem pressing.
