As someone who works on VA.gov, I need to know the standards for content, IA, and accessibility so that the what I create or modify meets VA.gov standards.
As a Veteran, service member, or caregiver, I want my experience on VA.gov to be consistent, accessible, and free of errors.
Problem Statement
As the Sitewide Content, IA, and Accessibility team continues to iterate on VA.gov standards, we need to make sure the newest information is available to all resources working on VA.gov. This includes maintaining and adding to the VA.gov style guide and the design system, and creating documentation as needed.
Some of the content work will include:
Adding topic-specific sections
Building out error message dictionary
Auditing and updating style guide
Creating new content briefs as products are developed
Some of the IA work will include:
Establishing and publishing standards for search best bets
Adding IA guidance to applicable components in the design system
Establishing taxonomy documentation
We will create individual epics to track each area of work.
