Background

New application for new program participants:

• Pre-fill Veteran information from logged-in user (assumption that logged-in user is the Veteran)
  • In conjunction with existing 'same address' checkbox, could fill out form in 5-10 minutes!
• Save In Progress
• Reminder emails
• Resubmit capability when error on submission screen is received (does not exist without save in progress)

Updates for existing program participants:

• When updates are needed to add, or replace Caregivers, the Veteran/Caregiver must complete the 10-10CG application with the new information.
  • There is currently no guidance online to inform applicants on how to make these kinds of updates.
• Could we pre-fill a Veteran's existing Caregiver information (need to see if we can pull this from CARMA)?
• What are the legal constraints on signatures (based on comment in this ticket)?
• How can we work around those constraints?

• Identify possibilities and constraints on creating an authenticated experience for the 10-10CG

There are legal implications to consider, as the legal team will not allow 'signatures' from Veteran and caregiver(s) if the Veteran is logged in. The Veteran can only sign for themselves, and there is no other digital way to obtain the necessary Caregiver(s) signature(s) at this time.

HJ Followup - Legal on signatures - is there any other option or appetite for alternatives?

Sent an email to Caregiver stakeholder team with some questions around signatures and processes. Once answers are provided, I will create a GH document and link in this ticket.
