Messaging page alert box updates for Cerner+MHV patients #5381

Open ambikaroos opened 4 years ago

ambikaroos commented 4 years ago

User Story When a Veteran who is a patient at a Cerner facility but who is also a patient at non-Cerner facilities is logged in on VA.gov and is on the Messaging page (https://www.va.gov/health-care/secure-messaging/), the alert box should explain to users that they will be directed to the appropriate page on both My VA Health and MHV.

Acceptance Criteria

Moving forward with testing 3-4 directions of MHV+Cerner Alerts. In the process of updating wireframes after 2/10 review with Lauren, Martha, Alex.

Related to the AC "TBD whether a new tab will automatically open and if it would open MHV or Cerner, or both (without requiring additional log in by user)" ...I was thinking about this, and based on what we know so far, it seems like we would either want to open both tabs or neither. It doesn't seem like we can choose one. Since we won't know where users want to go until they make a selection, I'm leaning towards opening neither, but curious about your perspective, @lalexanderson-dsva @artsymartha68 @goldenmeanie. We can also test this.

bridgethapner commented 4 years ago

The following 3 options will go into testing:

Content Needs @peggygannon - would love to get your quick feedback on anything that feels glaringly wrong here pre-testing. We plan to test these 3 directions to see which one makes the most sense to users. We can evaluate text more thoroughly post-testing. Or, if you think updates to language are needed prior to testing we can do that too. Let me know what you think!

@bridgethapner, per our Slack convo, I'm pausing on content recommendations to the alerts until we've finalized an alert direction based on the 3 options above.

Hi there @peggygannon - We can talk more tomorrow in our touch base, but I wanted to share some progress on this ticket. I have finalized the UX style of the alert box per user feedback and created a mobile wireframe. I'd love to work together to see if the copy I have can be streamlined to help tighten the mobile experience.
