Indicate if you need front-end engineering support for

Describe your request

The ID.me support number +1 (855) 927-4363 will be deactivated Friday, June 9, 2023. We need to audit our authenticated pages to see if we're using it anywhere so we can ask product teams to remove and update with new contact info.

Time constraints / launch deadlines

The number is getting turned off 6/9/23 so we need time to have product teams remove it before then.

Thanks @RLHecht ! I'm looping in @EWashb, @productmike, and @kmariepat-cityfriends for awareness so that we scan all the products.

jilladams commented 1 year ago

As far as hard coded -- No references in content-build, and 1 in vets-website:

~/code/vets-website/src/applications/dhp-connected-devices/components/FAQSections.jsx:
  310 <li>
  311                <strong>ID.me</strong> - Go to the ID.me help center at{' '}
  312: <va-telephone contact="8559274363" international />
  313 </li>
  314 <li>

Note, searching for the full number returns no matches, due to phone number formatting differences, so searching for 4363 is better for screening matches.

RLHecht commented 1 year ago

Thanks @jilladams Is this something you can go in and fix or we need to find the product team who owns it? We're supposed to replace the phone number with a link to ID.me's help center: https://help.id.me/

jilladams commented 1 year ago

@RLHecht our team could put up a PR but product team will who owns will need to approve it. Is there an alternative helpdesk option for ID.me support that should be listed instead, or just remove the entire option for ID.me support? (Also that file still lists DS Logon, fyi.)

Codeowners of dhp-connected-devices = https://github.com/orgs/department-of-veterans-affairs/teams/digital-health-platform/members. FYI @robbie1226 @AqsaMerchant and @mchaffee-tw about this request.

RLHecht commented 1 year ago

@jilladams we're supposed to point users to this link for the ID.me help center: https://help.id.me/

jilladams commented 1 year ago

@RLHecht thanks Randi. If you're ok with it, I'd like us to hand this off to the team that owns the code. I'm looking at this file (FAQSections.jsx) and it's all related to a Fitbit pilot. I can't find the front-end page it connects to, which implies either the widget isn't in use anymore / dead code, or it's within the authed experience. Either way, i'd rather the codeowners handle the change. I'll start a Slack thread to make sure they're aware and we figure out where this should go in terms of boards.

mchaffee-tw commented 1 year ago

Hi friends - Our Jira board is here: https://vajira.max.gov/secure/RapidBoard.jspa?rapidView=5463&projectKey=DHP

If you haven’t already, then you will probably need to request access; @AqsaMerchant is the keeper of credentials.

If it’s simpler on your end for the DHP team to clone the GitHub issue into a card in our Jira, that’s also an option.

jilladams commented 1 year ago

Noted in Slack: it is probably best to have your team make the JIRA, and update here in Github when the work is complete, for Randi's reference.

jilladams commented 1 year ago

@RLHecht since there's just the one hit on the audit, and since this team uses JIRA for sprint work, I took the liberty of updating this ticket to be an implementation tracking ticket. Please feel free to make any other changes that make that easier to keep track of for you.
