Some notes:
- I'll adjust the file size content TBD on further thoughts from Danielle on moving away from what's in the design system. Since "Be sure your file is 10MB or less in size" is already in production for the CG, I think we may be okay to move in that direction. I'll wait for confirmation from you Jessica, on the file types for the EZ!
- Danielle provided some insight on the use of "discharge papers" in the header. There may be some SEO volume that points to this being commonly uses by Veterans. I pinged our PM about getting access to Semrush so that I can confirm. I've changed this back to "papers" for the time being.
- I adjusted the "other documents" content to align with the drop down list. I placed the examples in parenthesis.
- Question: Do we need a confirmation screen if someone chooses not to upload their discharge papers?
- I'll track this version of content in the sketch screen.
Upload your discharge papers
You can upload your DD 214 or other separation documents (like your DD 256, DD 257, or NGB 22).
You don’t have to upload your discharge documents. But it can help us verify your military service and may speed up your application process.
If you have more than one discharge document, upload the one with the highest character of discharge.
If you don’t have your discharge or other separation documents, you can upload a copy of other official military documents (like proof of military awards or your disability rating letter).
How to upload your document
- Format the file as a .jpg, .png, .pdf, .doc, or .rtf file.
- Be sure your file is 10MB or less in size.
- If you don’t have a digital copy of your document, you can scan or take a photo of it and then upload the image from your computer or phone.

We need to update the content on the 10-10 EZ upload military discharge papers screen to align with the upload legal representative document screen on the 10-10 CG (CG content is more recent).
