  4. Please describe your use case. Connecting the upcoming RX refill experience to VANotify so that Veterans are notified via a secure pathway (email) about their RX refill status. ​
  5. What actions can the user take based on the notification they receive? Notification-only ​
  6. What is the desired business outcome? Veteran-confirmation of action taken on RX refill. ​
  7. What system will kick off the notification? Please note the system should be inside the VA or have an ATO. Va.gov chatbot - RX refill feature. All systems within VA and have ATO. ​
  8. What will trigger the notification? There will be a chatbot prompt and/or button asking the user to confirm the refill request. ​
  9. Provide sample content per notification type, if you have it. We will need to draft notification content to avoid PII/PHI. We propose a simple notification stating that "RX refill is in process." ​
  10. Has a Privacy Officer (PO) seen and approved the content? If not, do you know who your PO is? No, not yet. Our PO is Julie Drake. ​
  11. Would you prefer to provide contact information for the recipients or would you rather VA Notify look this up for you by Veteran ID? If by ID, please let us know what identifier is used in your system. We use ICN. Veterans should contact the main customer support pipeline for RX (ex. OCC/VHA). To be identified. ​
  12. Do you currently capture communication preferences related to this notification? If so, please describe. No, this is the first time chatbot will have a notification pipeline. ​
  13. What is the anticipated volume of notifications per day, week, month? About 400 per day (estimated) ​
  14. When does this notification need to be in production?

Aim for November 2023.

@nathalierayter can you send me the list of people (va.gov emails) whom you'd like to have access to the Self Service Portal where you can manage notification templates? I will also need a technical contact for when we issue an API key.

@nathalierayter @LucianaAlexanderMorais I've onboarded everyone listed above. You can start creating templates in our Staging Self Service Portal. Friendly reminder to ensure your content is reviewed by a Privacy Officer to ensure there's no PII/PHI risk. Once you have a launch plan/specific date in mind please let us know for awareness.
