Thoughts/questions

• Thank you for this extremely in-depth user flow and the detailed information about how the form will be reactivated for users at different use cases. There's so much here and I appreciate the work the team is doing to quickly bring this form back online.

Feedback

Practice areas will document their feedback on the VFS-provided artifacts following the Must, Should, and Consider Framework. Platform reviewers may also provide additional notes that don’t comment on the artifacts themselves but are important for implementation (eg. engineering/coding notes).

• Consider - flow to adjacent/additional forms: There are a few different points in the flow that indicate folks will be told that they'll need to complete another form (one I see mentioned a couple times is Form 21P-0969, in Step 5). To keep folks in the flow and reduce mental load, consider (1) showing this information again at the end of the form flow as a "What to do next", and (2) letting users know during the form flow that this will be shown to them again when they complete the form, so they can proceed in the current flow.
• Consider - trauma-informed design: I appreciate the trauma-informed notes on the user flow as there is indeed a lot of potentially triggering stuff in this form. It looks like you might have someone from the trauma-informed practice community on the team already! If not, it could be worth connecting with that group on Slack to see if there are emerging best practices that could be applied.

@vbellissimo The design intent phase of the collaboration cycle occurred while Fiorella was working on the pension form. My understanding was that she had, for the most part, incorporated those suggestions before passing the task on. Could you please clarify what is expected of me for this task?

@mayacoforma , similar to #66475, we can sync up with @steele-lm and @fiorella-io on this at a later time. If your understanding is right that she's incorporated the suggestions above to the designs already, I don't believe think this is priority. It also looks like the suggestions from here are "should" and "consider", not "must". We're only focusing on any feedback that would have been a "must" for the MVP relaunch of the form.

@gmaciolek reviewed this and recommends we wait until after assess the usability study findings to try and address this ticket. Keeping it lower in the backlog.
