NEW Secure Messaging, >Inbox: Once the user clicks over the the VA.gov messaging site, they find an inbox message informing them that they have 4 unread messages. Based on years of email use, a user should reasonably expect the menu on the left (inbox, drafts, etc) to show them this information as well. Most email programs put the number of unread messages an inbox contains next to the word "Inbox" in a menu like this one. A user should expect this to read: "Inbox (4)" or something similar.
