Desktop Research on caretakers

Context In usability tests and SME interviews we have heard the need for a process to support Veterans with caregivers during verification and need more information in order to design this pathway. We aim to conduct desktop research to gain insights into the experience of Veterans with caregivers regarding identity verification at the VA. This research will inform us about veterans' and their caregivers' perceptions, challenges, and suggestions for identity verification.

User Story As a Veteran, I need to be able to complete identity verification with the support of a caregiver so that I can access my services and benefits.

As a Veteran caregiver, I need to be able to help a Veteran complete identity verification, so they can access their services and benefits.

[ ] Research current process for caregivers to be able to complete services for Veterans at the VA (on VA research github repo and on search engines)
[ ] Review existing literature, reports, and studies on veterans and caregivers' perspective of navigating VA services (on VA research github repo and on search engines)
[ ] Review existing literature, reports, and studies on veterans and caregivers' perspective of navigating identity verification (on VA research github repo and on search engines)
[ ] Identify and analyze common challenges faced by veterans and caregivers
[ ] Document success stories and best practices
[ ] Develop actionable recommendations for process improvement and future research
[ ] Compile findings into a comprehensive report

Definition of Done Comprehensive report summarizing research findings, challenges, success stories, and recommendations completed uploaded to Github.
