Collaboration timeframe

We work on nearly every OCTO product and manage all unauthenticated content on VA.gov, so we will need to prioritize intake requests based on overall workload and VA and OCTO priorities.

Your timeline

Our service provider will not submit our application until the SMS terms are posted on a publicly accessible URL. We need to obtain the new short code for the Cerner/Oracle Health integrated VEText application planned to laucn at the end of March 2024.

Description

We would like the following content added to the current VEText page:

VEText Terms and Conditions

VEText is the official SMS Appointment Reminder program for the U.S. Veterans Health Administration (VHA). VEText sends reminders about Veteran health appointments with the date and time of the appointment, and may include the clinic name and location of the appointment depending on individual preferences.
You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text "STOP" to the short code. After you send the SMS message "STOP" to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. If you want to join again, just sign up as you did the first time and we will start sending SMS messages to you again.
If you are experiencing issues with the messaging program you can reply with the keyword HELP for more assistance, or you can get help directly by calling 800-698-2411.

As always, message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. Message frequency will vary. If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, it is best to contact your wireless provider.

Hi again @jwowk , following up on this — Danielle said some SMS-related terms got added into the unified terms of use, so wanted to confirm with you if those updates resolved this issue. Let me know if there's still work needed here!
