FwdProxy Move to AL2 #73825

Status

10/28/24 In-Progress On-Track Team is working through several technical issues.
10/21/2024 In-Progress On-Track Team has moved into testing phase. Getting close to being ready for scheduling.
10/14/24 In-Progress On-Track Team is working on adding public keys and getting EC2 configured correctly.
10/7/24 In-Progress On-Track Team is doing discovery work on how exactly we were going to handle all of the public keys stored in the devops repo that are used by the Fwdproxy.
9/30/24 In-Progress Off-Track Team is working to resolve use cases not covered initially with FwdProxy.
9/23/24 In-Progress Off-Track Team found a new use case for fwdproxy that needs to be addressed before we can move anything forward. This was uncovered when we scaled down old instances.
9/16/24 In-Progress On-Track FwdProxy deployments are in a stable state. Team will evaluate deployment to Sandbox and Prod in the coming days.
9/9/24 In-Progress On-Track In the final stages of FwdProxy work. Team is making sure deployments across all lower environments are stable and reliable. Going to delay scheduled deployment of Prod and Sandbox to next week.
9/3/24 In-Progress On-Track Monitoring recent changes applied to FwdProxy in Dev and Staging. In final stages for Sandbox and Prod. Possible deployment on 9/9 after hours for Sandbox and Prod.
8/26/24 In-Progress On-Track FwdProxy issue has been resolved. Team is working on the final Terraform changes needed for deployments.
8/19/24 In-Progress Off-Track Team was able to narrow down the issue with the FwdProxy. Issue is related to GIDS and are working through that.
8/12/24 In-Progress Off-Track FwdProxy had some problems when deploying to PROD, so it was rolled back. Took notes and action items. This is still in process, troubleshooting the issues, then will reschedule.
