Overview

Secure Messaging on VA.gov entered "Phase 1" (opt-in public beta) in November 2023. At this time, a "try me" banner was turned on in the MHV Classic SM experience inviting people to try out the new tool.

• Main dashboard
• Web Traffic using Google Analytics, including SM - appears to cut out post fall 2023? what is the lag time?
• Manual method of querying database directly for Classic stats (facilitated by Anne - not ideal since it's so manual)
• Over [12 million] messages are sent in MHV Classic experience each year
• In 2023, around 600,000 unique patients per month used SM
