Update from 05.01 meeting with SMEs:

d-beyer commented 3 months ago

Hey @aprocik1 -- I built a demo draft of the R&S page for the STEM list. (If they have a spreadsheet with this information, they would be able to fill it in would be pretty quick.) Can you take a look and let me know what you think?

aprocik1 commented 3 months ago

Thanks, @d-beyer. I just asked our accessibility colleagues about this in the CAIA-team-internal channel on VA Slack. I'll report back with recommendations after aligning with them.

@bethpotts, what do you think about this page layout: VA-recognized STEM degree programs (Drupal preview)

A few notes:

aprocik1 commented 3 months ago

Update: Beth and I reviewed this page together in a meeting.

Next steps: First, Beth is going to re-confirm that we can use tables within accordions on this page. Then, I'll finish adding all the data from the legacy PDF into the tables. And I'll alphabetize the accordions (which will likely require me to re-create each accordion in alphabetical order).

aprocik1 commented 3 months ago

Update: Beth re-confirmed with our accessibility colleagues that we can move forward with this page design. My goal is to wrap up the edits to this page by the end of next week.

aprocik1 commented 3 months ago

Update: I've sent this page to SMEs for awareness. Here's the Drupal preview.

Beth's goal is to publish this page by EOD Friday 6/28.

aprocik1 commented 3 months ago

@megzehn and @saratorres2, this page is ready for your copyedit. I'm waiting for final approval from SMEs, so please don't publish it yet.

Here's the Drupal preview. Beth asked that you double check each of the CIP and VA codes I've included in the tables. This will probably require a couple hours. Here's the legacy PDF to use as a source of truth.

Beth's goal is to publish this page by EOD Friday 6/28. I'll let you know when SMEs confirm. Thanks!

aprocik1 commented 3 months ago

Update: SMEs responded to my email with some clarifying questions. Beth is going to follow up with them about these topics:

@megzehn and @saratorres2, please pause on your copyedit of this page until Beth confirms we can move forward. Sorry for the change in plans!

aprocik1 commented 3 months ago

Update: Beth discussed this page with SMEs. She'll be managing all future updates to this page. Derek and I don't need to work on this page again, until otherwise requested by Beth.

aprocik1 commented 3 months ago

@megzehn and @saratorres2, we've received approval from SMEs to move forward with this page. Can you copyedit and publish the pages below? Thanks in advance!

bethpottsVADEPO commented 3 months ago

@megzehn and @saratorres2 I wanted to reiterate what A mentioned earlier in this ticket, that you'll need to verify the codes in each accordion on the approved fields of study page. Sorry, I know it's a tedious task. I just wanted to call it out to make sure that was part of the last content QA step.

bethpottsVADEPO commented 2 months ago

@megzehn and @saratorres2 the SMEs had communicated to another office that this would go live this week, so Randi and I verified all the fields of study and codes and published! Also, Randi took care of all tasks in the post-pub check list. We should be all set with this ticket. I'll let you and A check off the last couple boxes and close.

The only remaining work on this ticket is to ask the product team to update the online Form 22-10203. The form includes links to the legacy PDF throughout the flow, including on the intro page. (We may also want to ask them to update the accredited representative language and link destination in step 2 on the intro page.)

@bethpottsVADEPO, we Slacked about this on 6/27. Do you know which product team manages this online form?

bethpottsVADEPO commented 2 months ago

@aprocik1 Yes, that's the last remaining task here. I will put you in touch with that team once I know the POC. Did you already identify where the URL needs updating in the flow?

That's a great idea to call out that we've updated the AR language and would like to give them those edits so that this form aligns with the most up-to-date language.

Update: Beth emailed Tammy asking them to identify the correct product team for Form 22-10203. I've compiled the necessary updates for the product team in this Mural board. I'll share the Mural board with the product team after we hear back from Tammy.

aprocik1 commented 1 month ago

Update: Cinda shared the updates outlined in this Mural board with the appropriate product team. Kara Ciprich, the product manager, added these updates to their July 31, 2024 - August 13, 2024 sprint. I'm closing and tracking this ticket as complete.
