Problem

VA Staff/Proofing Agents will be using the IPP application to check Veteran IDs. Sometimes, fraudulent IDs are in circulation and can be used to exploit Veteran benefits. How might we help the Proofing Agents determine if the ID provided is real?

Possible Solution: Utilize a document checker tool that shows images and attributes of various forms of state and government issued IDs.

Using the following API key, test the integration with the Proofing Agent application:

Future Considerations: We'll need to consider design needs based on the integration. Potential topic for a devign sync after initial test: will the document open in a new window? As a popup? In the same page, within the existing modal?

Find out what full integration looks like and what data gets pulled. Create UI interaction where you input identity data needed to verify, click a button, image appears in app.
