What's the nature of your initiative and desired outcomes?

We need to align on patient instructions to review their medications ahead of an appointment, and add that language to the appointment detail pages across all touchpoints (web, mobile, etc). This is from an OIG/Congressional request.

Where are you at in your timeline?

We don't have a final date set yet but this will be high priority for our team. We'd like to pull in CAIA (in this ticket) at two stages:

• An initial review of the proposal - to be completed by 05/17 at the latest
• Review of changes that come in from stakeholders to make sure we're meeting standards. Final date TBD

Will you release this new product incrementally (for example, release to 25% of users to start)?

This content will be released across multiple products - appts web, check-in, and mobile app. Each will have different release plans.

Update from 06//24 Stakeholder sync - the stakeholders passed us over a poster to review against our proposal. We'll send back a revised proposal based on that, and ask them to review within a week after we send it over.

What should I bring to my VA health care appointments?

Always bring your insurance cards to health appointments.

Be ready to share a list of all the medications you're taking now, including the amount you take and when and how often you take them. Include these medication types:

• Prescriptions from VA and non-VA providers
• Over-the-counter medications
• Vitamins, supplements, and herbal remedies

And be ready to share anything that might help your health care team work with you to make treatment decisions. Bring a list of these things:

• Any changes in the medications you're taking or how you're taking them
• Any problems, questions, or concerns you have with your medications
• Any allergies or reactions you've had to your current or past medications
• Any health care you're receiving from other VA facilities or from providers outside VA

You may need to take other steps to prepare for certain types of appointments, like video appointments. You can find these instructions in your appointment details.
