Laura updated to remove servicing centers info based on updated brochure (they merged the servicing centers into one location)
Questions for Danielle:
There are 3 logical CTA links for this page, and template only allows 2. I made all 3 related links at the bottom instead. Is this the right approach?
Add info about updating allergy records from meds tool content?
Notes and questions to send to SMEs with page draft:
Note: The current Meds by Mail page links to this list of covered medicines: https://www.va.gov/COMMUNITYCARE/programs/dependents/pharmacy/MbM-medications.asp
Since we aren’t able to offer an exhaustive list, we suggest retiring that page and directing people to contact Meds by Mail for questions about specific medicines. We'll plan to redirect that page to this new page, where people can find the contact info.
We removed the information about the 2 servicing centers, since the updated brochure shows that you've combined these centers into a central location. But the brochure still lists 2 phone numbers. To avoid confusion about the 2 different numbers, we've listed only the first phone number from the brochure (866-229-7389). Is there any reason to call one number versus the other?
Can people with CWVV and SBHCBP use Meds by Mail if they also have other prescription coverage? (We understand you can't use MbM if you have CHAMPVA and other prescription coverage.)
In the new prescription refill tool on VA.gov, we say "Request your next refill as soon as your prescription arrives. Make sure to request refills at least 15 days before you need more medication." Should we give the same instruction here for when to request refills using all 3 methods (online, phone, and mail)?
Can you confirm how long it takes to get a new prescription or a refill after the person requests it? The existing webpage says new prescriptions take 18 to 21 days “for processing and mailing,” and refills take 7 to 10 days. Is this the time it takes for VA to mail the package, or for the package to arrive?
We understand that MbM covers only certain controlled substances. For the controlled substances that MbM does cover, can you order those online, or only by phone or mail?
Pharmacy benefits page says CWVV beneficiaries can only use OptumRx pharmacies for prescriptions related to their covered disability. Does this also apply to prescriptions they get through Meds by Mail, or can they use Meds by Mail for all maintenance prescriptions for all their health conditions?
We added the section about how to renew prescriptions based on information we received from Meds by Mail stakeholders as part of our work on the new medications tool on VA.gov. Can you confirm if this is the best way to request a renewal?
We're migrating Meds by Mail content to VA.gov.
