Open strelichl opened 1 month ago
Just updating here that the product team shared today that this form will now likely launch July 1.
Since the family hub migration work will happen ahead of this, we'll just need to ensure that the form intro page has all of the new redirect links correctly in place.
@strelichl when you're back in next week, I'll plan to check in with you about how we should plan coverage for publishing since we'll be OOO during this week.

We got the okay for SMEs to publish the page next week.
I'll share the current pre FMB migration node (10) with Megan for her copy edit.
Laura will let me know when I can track the same changes to the new post FMB migration node.
Hi @megzehn
The Program for Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers page is ready for you to copy edit. Preview link: https://preview-prod.vfs.va.gov/preview?nodeId=10
Laura is still in the process of working on some things around the new FMB hub, so she asked me to hold on tracking the changes in the new node. Hopefully I'll have that by tomorrow and I'll track the same changes there - that's the page OCTO will publish next week.
Summary of some of the updates on this page:
We only made updates to this page to align with the upcoming form updates. All other sections of the page were mostly left alone - we'll need to leave those things as they are for now, but we can revisit in the future if needed.
The first sentences in the header "How do I apply for this program?" needs to remain. And the "Note" needs to remain exactly as it is. SMEs/VA partners approved both of these things. And the last sentence that starts with "If you need help..." needs to remain as it is for now.
I removed this bullet point "At least 30 days per year of respite care for the Veteran" as requested by SMEs/VA partners.
I updated the address. That update aligns with what's in the updated online form.
The content under header "What documents can I submit if I'm signing this application on behalf of the Veteran" needs to stay exactly as it is (this was SME/VA partner approved).
Under the header "What if the Veteran I'm caring for doesn't meet the eligibility criteria for this program?" I left the content and link as it is for now (SMEs approved and this aligns with the approved online form updates), but I updated the phone number and changed "Coordinator" to "Team" per SME/stakeholder requirements.
Thank you, @aliyahblackmore!
Confirming I copy edited the changes on this page for errors and omissions.
Hi @megzehn - I'm back again to request another review of the same page (but in a new node)!
The new version of the PCAFC page launched in the family member benefits hub, so I tracked the same content updates from this node to the new node.
Can you do a review of the new node just to ensure I tracked all of your copy edits? And if there's anything you adjust, can you just add "7/2 changes ready to be published" in the draft notes? This is just in case Laura needs to republish this page ahead of 7/2.
Thanks for copying over those changes, @aliyahblackmore!! Confirming that I reviewed again and it's ready to be published on 7/2.
Thanks so much @megzehn.
Tracking notes for OCTO:
And for awareness, I re-added part of a sentence to the draft page ("...if you'd like to check the status of your application...") and let SMEs know via email on Friday morning, just for their awareness. Danielle is already on that email thread.
(Noting that if there's any future CG work, I'd like to revisit that part of the sentence and potentially move in under the section "What happens after I apply?" -- but for now, it matches the placement on the current version of the page.)
And I'll send them a link to the live page when I'm back in office on 7/8.
