Recruitment: Veteran Survey research #84245

Closed UXCamG closed 3 months ago

To ensure that veterans meet the specified criteria for your survey on reimagining technical support at the VA, you can implement a structured screening and recruitment process. Here are the steps you should follow:

Create a screener survey with questions designed to identify veterans who meet your criteria. Include questions about their veteran status, use of VA services, frequency of interactions, technical proficiency, and demographic information.

Distribute the screener survey through Perigean that reach veterans.

Ensure that the language in the screener is clear and easily understood by veterans of all backgrounds and technical proficiency levels.

Perigean will review the criteria and plan to recruit veterans

Please read all of these instructions, even if this is not your first time moderating research with Perigean.

Brian & Shannon will be recruiting, screening, gathering consent from, scheduling, and managing all reminders and communication with the participants. They will also be sending a thank-you gift via mail to the participants following the sessions. You do not need to handle any of this. Please know that our Veterans are also human, and sometimes life happens and they miss their sessions. If you are experiencing a lot of no-shows, please let Shannon and Brian know if you want to add additional participants to your study. If you reach your target, and want to cancel any remaining sessions, please let Brian, Shannon know with as much advance notice as possible. Where to find your sessions & session details: Brian and Shannon will be sending the appointments for the sessions to your Outlook/work calendar. The appointments include the session link and relevant details for each study. Additionally, you should have access to the google research calendar, where you can double check study details. For the duration of the studies, Brian or Shannon will give you temporary access to our study tracker, so you may track your studies. Tracking your study means that you can see when sessions are scheduled and track relevant details about your participants (such as demographics). Perigean will create a direct message on slack for you, me, Brian, Shannon, and Jeff so you can coordinate on logistics for this study. Please reach out to Shannon and Brian on Slack at the start of the session if the participant has not arrived, is not prepared, or is having technical difficulties. Please also let Brian & Shannon know if a participant did show up. If your schedule changes, please let Brian and Shannon know ASAP via Slack; please do not cancel any sessions within 24 hours if at all possible.

Please let me know if you have questions and/or concerns.

Unique identifiers have been created for the participants, and this will ensure that participants are compensated for the completion of the survey.
