2 weeks ago Per discussion with VA enablement crew on 7/3/2024, we will pause this specific change and would rather explore a larger scale solution to address this and would also effect additional forms, not only 527.
Background: We had a conversation with Eric Henna (see Teams) regarding character field limits and how overflow content is generated. We completed a spike (#85532) to explore possible options. One interim solution that we provided and got sign off from the VBA team is to reduce the font size from 10 to 9. They confirmed that as long as the font size reduce does not change the PDF layout, the downstream systems should not be impacted.

The character count in the fixed boxed fields will be the same but visually it will be just slightly smaller (e.g. name fields).
For character counts in the free text fields, we gain 3-5 characters before it needs to be overflowed.
