We worked closely with CAIA to determine the flow for this form, ensuring it meets the necessary requirements and best practices.
The "Highest level of education" question has been revised, and we’ve included an option for "something else" with a conditional reveal. Please note that this question is not marked as required because the applicant’s response will not affect their chances of being accepted into the IBM SkillsBuild program. Marking it as required might create unnecessary confusion. This approach was also suggested by CAIA.

Feedback
Practice areas will document their feedback on the VFS-provided artifacts following the Must, Should, and Consider Framework. Platform Governance reviewers may also provide additional notes that don’t comment on the artifacts themselves but are important for implementation (eg. engineering/coding notes).
Must
[x] Work with CAIA information architects to identify all possible entry points and location for a static page about this program in the VA.gov information architecture, as well as potential search Best Bets. Based on what you shared there will need to be some kind of page about the IBM Skillsbuild program itself in addition to a page just about the application form in the Find a Form section. CAIA information architects can help identify all entry points, including a primary entry point which must be available for review when the team comes through Staging Review. @kristinoletmuskat @jennymayoco
[ ] Remove demographic questions - seconding Matt Dingee's note to avoid asking these questions. Whenever it's determined that it's necessary to ask for race or gender questions, explain why it's being asked and how this information will be used.
Should
[ ] Form flow order of operations - this'll be less of an issue if the demographic questions are removed. A typical form flow on VA.gov starts by asking for relationship to veteran/military status, name, contact information, then other specific-to-the-form questions. I recommend ordering the flow for this form similarly.
[ ] Highest level of education - options not listed The "highest level of education" question might have some gaps in its answers: someone who hasn't finished high school, or someone with a JD or MD (or other professional degree). How is this information used and can the options be expanded, or an "other level not listed:" field added?
[ ] Alternative to "high technology" language: It took me a while to realize that by "high technology" the form is asking about "high tech"! Can this wording be changed as well to reflect common parlance, either "high tech" or "technology"?
