RE: EE team's EP400 merge app - their app finds claims that are duplicates (i.e., there is already a current disability claim in progress when the Veteran submits another 526 claim) and auto merges the conditions from the new to the existing claim. I am hoping they know how many times the conditions are an exact duplicate with the existing and how many times a Veteran is adding a net new condition (new or cfi). I am not sure where our sense of the duplicates problem is coming from, perhaps from the silent failure remediation, and so this may be a different beast altogether, and therefore a dead end.
