• What Events need to be tracked? NOTE: Design System Components are automatically tracked and should be used whenever possible to avoid custom configuration

  • I need a custom event that teams can add to to get data on specific link clicks. Many teams are using the link component within VADS to configure specific alternate breadcrumbs on details pages that we refer to as "back link breadcrumbs." These do not use the traditional VADS "breadcrumb" component in any way. This prevents PHI/PII in the breadcrumb + makes the experience easier to navigate. This is true across many forms and auth experiences, but particularly within the health portal.

  I may need to come to office hours to discuss and come up with the appropriate request / strategy here for tracking.

@jestutt delivering the test users + page URLs to inspect use cases of this component in staging. Here is a MURAL where the high-level breadcrumb plan for all of the My HealtheVet portal is outlined, including instances where <- Back links are used in lieu of traditional breadcrumbs.
