Description

We want to audit our accessibility documentation on design.va.gov to make sure that it is up-to-date with current accessibility guidelines.

For this ticket, we need to review the accessibility guidelines for the Tables component on design.va.gov and provide any updates that need to be made to the existing documentation as a comment on this ticket.

There are two Accessibility considerations sections on this page. Both need to be reviewed.

We recently caught a severe defect with responsive tables on VoiceOver macOS. This is blocking three major issues.

• Letters responsive tables
• View payments responsive tables and issues with verbosity

To accelerate this work, we've created a CAIA request to do further discovery.

Update on this, @jaredcunha found a bug logged with Apple AX: Tables with display properties are skipped, report wrong col/row counts

Closing as this is old and the VADS components have been updated so this should no longer be an issue. If there is still an issue with the new components, file a new bug.
