Experimental Design [Sub-navigation] #1699

Open Cieramaddox opened 1 year ago

Cieramaddox commented 1 year ago

What

Proposing an asynchronous review to add a sub-navigation pattern using links.

Purpose

The proposed pattern will allow Veterans to navigate to different status views within the online scheduling appointment list while also displaying which status view they are currently on.

Usage

Currently in the VA online scheduling appointment list, there are upcoming, past, and pending appointment status'. The three are displayed in separate lists. To view them, Veterans click on the one of those three links above the list and navigate to that status view.

Behavior

When on the Upcoming page, sub-navigation would read as follows:

When on the past page, sub-navigation would read as follows:

When on the pending page, sub-navigation would read as follows:

Examples

Figma Link

Accessibility Considerations

Hanging navigation is coded as a nav landmark.

@Cieramaddox , are you available either this Friday, April 28 or next Friday, May 5 to attend DSC meeting at 1pm ET? Would like to have you attend the meeting to talk through this request. Thanks.

@caw310 Friday the 28th would be great. Thank you

Discussed in 4/28 DSC meeting. This will be added to the DST backlog.

Will be added to DS with guard rails. Use of this feature has to be near top of page and have similar scenario to this.
