NPM: Wrong version comparison for betas #36

This looks a bit strange:

especially since the current release is 8.0.0-beta.27

@leoarnold That does look odd. My current hunch is (I'll confirm this later) that we essentially ignore prereleases when getting new versions from npm so for prereleases the "latest" column is quite useless right now.
