Ms. Jillian McCain from the Logistics Advocacy and Strategic Communications SME, Headquarters, U.S. Marines Corps, 3000 Marine Corps Pentagon, Room 2E211, Washington, DC 20350-3000 COML: 571-256-7135, Jillian.mccain.ctr@usmc.mil

Checklist

I have…

Expected Behavior

requesting two (2) new articles been posted to the Marine Corps Service Specific Information page 1) UPDATED BOARDING PROCESS FOR NON-UNIFORMED MILITARY PERSONNEL: Effective Jan 20, 2018, Delta Airlines updated their boarding process and announcements. As a result, non-uniformed personnel will be included in the pre-boarding announcement and invited to board with customers traveling with infants in car seats or strollers. Per Delta Airline's Senior VP for Operations, this will be effective for all CONUS and OCONUS hubs. *Travelers must have military ID.

2) Pets and Permanent Change of Station (PCS): The key to a successful PCS with pets is early planning, constant action and consistent dialogue between the Installation Personnel Administration Center (IPAC), Distribution Management Office (DMO) and you. Know the rules and deadlines for moving your pets well in advance of your move. Shipping your pet is a benefit, not an entitlement- which places pet transportation responsibility directly upon you. Check with your local DMO well in advance of travel to ascertain the number of available Pet spaces per flight. Pet spaces on the AMC-PE are both limited and reserved on a "first come, first served" basis for all DoD Uniformed Service Members and DoD Civilians alike. Accordingly, submit your port call request to DMO as soon as possible, thereby, allowing the DMO to make all necessary AMC-PE reservations NLT 90-days prior to your scheduled date of departure. PCS orders with appropriation data are NOT required to make reservations in GATES, or to secure pet spaces on the AMC-PE since the latter is a personal expense. Remember, continue to monitor your pet travel status up to the scheduled date of departure and let us know via email: usmcpassengertravel@usmc.mil, if you have any questions.

Recommend adding per USMC request. Team: We need to address overall page and content design. Do Services plan to have an unlimited number of articles for their pages? Is there a content management strategy for articles and information? Should content expire or display as ticker-tape-like banner?
