That's definitely a 'problem' of the Garmin devices.... I did find that in other maps (fzk) too eventhough the originating Line direction (OSM) is the correct one.... but just 'reverting' the direction for Garmin won't help most probably...
Thanks for your reply! Do you have a workaround (different line type?). I think I will change the line pattern in the TYP file. Of course the line direction will be wrong in QLandkarte/Mapsource, but the correct rendering on the GPS is more important for me.
Unfortunately not, but I didn't really invest that much time into it... as far as I did find out (If I remember correctly) it's unclear if the lines are always drawn in the 'wrong' direction or if this depends on the device and some other factors too.... all sort of unclear...
At least oneway streets don't have this kind of problem. So Garmin treats line types differently. Perhaps we only have to find a line type without this problem...
That's absolutely possible... we had problems with some lines on the new Monterra and the Nuvi's ... they were just not shown.... we had to use different lines. Looks like the lines from the original range 'seamap' make troubles on some devices... So all is possible
Right now, natural=cliff is rendered in the wrong direction on the Garmin device, whereas it is shown correctly in QLandkarteGT.
