Ran Update this morning to Map Enhancment. #644

The next 4 flights on MSFS 2020 with two different aircraft, and my PC locked up and shut down. Had to restart the PC. This has never happened before, I have a stable system that never crashes. I then closed down the Map Tool, and now everything is fine. Nothing else was changed. The latest update 7.6.2 causes major problems on my system.

After many hours of installing and reinstalling the latest version of your app, I finally realized that only since I updated to the latest version, have I experienced multiple problems. I had a backup install on my backup drive, I installed it, my problems went away. (7.5.11) I will not update date this version, it works properly. The latest version will not work for me. Problems I had with latest version were: I played with this app for a few hours today. Installing, uninstalling, restarting PC, downloading latest version etc.. etc. etc. This app is buggy, only since the last update a couple of days ago. Today , I could get maybe one or two startups and flights, and then all of a sudden, I lose all communication with my ISP, active sky, Chrome browser, low bandwidth warnings, etc. etc. Uninstall the Map program, and everything instantly returns to normal..

Haven’t heard about this issue so I will wait for more feedbacks from other people

I have a question. I uninstalled MAp enhancement mod, and after a few days I had a similar symptom where I lost connection to the internet on my PC, and had to reboot it to regain connection.

Now when this problem started after I installed latest version of Map Enhnacment m , I noticed that the Hosts file did not have the 4 lines of data entered, when Map enhancement mod was activated, yet the Bing New maps were still accessed. My question, is , where would these files have been placed, if not in the hosts file? I am thinking that they may be still on my system, but not sure where to look. that may why I am still having this intermittent problem.

Check if any antivirus tools protect the hosts files.
