### This Is A Niche Use Case, But Useful for Saving Data / Bandwidth
Now I do not know if this is even technically possible. Allow the user to change resolution preference while the server is active and sim is running.
I am making this suggestion because I do fly long haul from time to time. Flights between 7-12 hours.
Now with that long of a flight, there will be guaranteed "downtimes" where you won't be looking out appreciating the scenery, maybe leaving the sim unattended, doing something else or even taking a nap.
During these downtimes, I do not need the app to be downloading 10, 15, 20... gigabytes of ortho **_my eyes will never see_**. As I understand you cannot stop the app without exiting the sim, so an alternative would be having an 'Ultra low resolution' mode that I can switch to while leaving the sim unattended, so at very least, it will only download **_very minimal data._**
Then, before starting descent, I can flip it back to normal resolution.
**_This option would also be useful to turn on when arriving at night where ortho is completely invisible anyway._** Which with long hauls, it is pretty typical to depart with daylight and then land at night. I would prefer not to artificially change the time.

This would also help reduce unnecessary CPU load when you leave the sim unattended.
