Drupal composer related ideas

• Plugin setting Drupal Packagist as repository (may not be possible as plugin may not be installed before require is fully checked)
• create settings.php
• Create drush aliases / read from drush alles
• shellwrapper + composer run script + base argument to update script
• Installer:
  • composer/installers style notation
  • support for wildcards in package name and type
  • support vor {vendor}
  • support for {type}
• Plugin for custom paths and symlinking
• Plugin to sort require, require-dev after update/install/remove/require
• Write version info to module/theme .info
• Repository type "package" which only needs a name and VCS url

This looks very interesting, and would solve a lot of problems. I am willing to contribute to the development of this plugin.

I think it would be best to split those in separate plugins. I hope to get my hands on some while Drupal dev days
