Testing: No example data of flickering rods #25

We need an example dataset of flickering rods that we can test SpandexFlicker with, to see if change we make improve the code. This dataset shouldn't be stored in the Spandex repository though, because it probably will be a big file.

Maybe we should make a Dropbox folder or Google Drive folder for test images?

Thanks to Joe we have some example data for flickering rods. I've shared it all with you in a Google Drive folder. Google Drive gives students unlimited storage, that's why we're using it.

I will close the issue once we have all of the following test data:

flickering nanorods (in water): [x] 20x low density [x] 20x medium density [ ] 20x high density [ ] 20x full-size image

z-stacks of dry nanorods: [ ] dry, 10x, low density [ ] dry, 10x, medium density [ ] dry, 10x, high density [ ] dry, 10x very large image

z-stacks of dielectric nanoparticles: [ ] 40x in liquid virus, or 100nm polystyrene - low density [ ] 40x in liquid virus, or 100nm polystyrene - medium density [ ] 40x in liquid virus, or 100nm polystyrene - high density [ ] 50x dry virus, or 100nm polystyrene - low density [ ] 50x dry virus, or 100nm polystyrene - medium density [ ] 50x dry virus, or 100nm polystyrene - high density [ ] 50x dry virus, or 100nm polystyrene - full-size image

By 'low density', 'medium density' and 'high density', I mean that (low) the particles are far apart and almost never touching, (medium) there are 100s of particles per spot, and a significant fraction (e.g. 10%) of particles are closer than the diffraction limit, and (high) most of the particles are starting to blur together.
