Define what will be in your conceptual model: people, places, dates, subjects/concepts. Idea you have to choose is up to you > smarted = idea that can be generalised how much important each of these things are?

he original goal and continuing motivation of the ABC work arose from the need to integrate information from multiple genres of multimedia information within digital libraries
the ABC model has been specifically designed to model the creation, evolution and transition of objects over time

The Europeana Data Model (hereafter EDM for short) is aimed at being an integration medium for collecting, connecting and enriching the descriptions provided by Europeana’s content providers. As such, it may be said to include any element (i.e. class or property) found in a content provider's description.

so: I choose the class CONCEPT because I can have a definition, an example for it, a note that can contain pretty much anything, a history note for the context. It doesn't mention the relations with other concepts or items, so either they have to be put into the note or not at all. Some properties are actually subproperties of skos:note.

SO: this is perfect and perfectly explained, but I still don't understand classes/subclasses/superclasses/inherits. I think the concept of item persisten in time has to be described as something that has a "creator", a range of date, a documentation as an example, and a representation. Maybe people can also be documented like this?

Produce your theoretical model able to describe all the chosen items. The model has to reply almost to the question:
• WHO – people. How to describe people? Which kind of information? • WHERE – places. Which kind of information I have to represent about locations? • WHEN – dates. In which format I need to express the notion of time? • WHAT – subjects/concepts. What is the main content of my object?
