I have used sudo apt install wifite and it got installed. There was no problem.
The problem is when I tried, "wifite --version" or "wifite -v" which use to work anywhere.
Usually, all CLI based programs/software have this command working, so I thought I would get the version output, but it's was not the case here.
But I do get to see this when I launched wifite. I hope its the latest one.
