The following is a layout file that supports typing in Esperanto, English and German.

The ordering is based on Wikipedia's list of Esperanto letter frequencies, with non-Esperanto Latin characters (Q,W,X,Y) added for compatibility purposes. This also allows the layout to be used for English. (The layout can be labeled as just "Esperanto / Deutsch" if mentioning three languages is too much.)

Diacritics for Esperanto (Ĉ,Ĝ,Ĥ,Ĵ,Ŝ,Ŭ) and German (Ä,Ö,Ü,ß) are added based on the idea that they should be on the same key as the corresponding non-diacritical letter. The uppercase layout has the uppercase eszett (ẞ).

Using the "down" swipe on the "A" key for "Ä" required the removal of the Caps Lock function from that key. Instead, the "up" swipe toggles Shift. To enable Caps Lock, use the "up" swipe on the "N" key while in uppercase mode instead.

Here's a slightly modified version of the layout that allows one to reuse the same shift/caps-lock set-up as other layouts do.

The letter "X", unused in Esperanto (technically it's used in the X-system as a substitute for diacritics, but since this keyboard has diacritics, it's practically unused) and less used in German than in English, is moved to a bottom-left swipe on the letter "S".

The letter "M" is moved from an inside (up-right) swipe on "R" to an inside (left) swipe on "A", and "Ä" is moved from a down-swipe on "A" to a right-swipe.

And the letters "G" and "Ĝ" are now moved into inside (up-right) and outside (top-left) swipes on "R" instead.

In the end, both up- and down-swipes on "A" are free to be used for shift and caps-lock actions.
