[NAOMI] Encrypted or badly decrypted ROM detection #153

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?

1: Open emu
2: Load proper *.lst + *.dat (created by myself and rechecked)
3: Error

LST:
-------------------------
Melty Blood: Act Cadenza ver.A

"meltyba.dat", 0x0000000, 0x0DC2C000
-------------------------

OUTPUT
===============================

nullDC-Naomi v1.0.4 (built Jun 12 2010@19:57:24)
---------------------------
Verify Failed  : RomPtr!=0
 in naomi_LoadRom -> naomi\naomi.cpp : 715

Unhandled exeption while Initing Image Reader plugin by drk||Raziel & GiGaHeRz
[Jun 12 2010] plugin

I use a 1.0.4 R48 Win32 Release-NoTrace build

I use the following plugins:

PowerVR Plugin: nullPVR
GDRom Plugin: ImageReader
AICA Plugin: nullAICA
ARM7 Plugin: vbaARM
Maple Plugin(s): NullDC NAOMI JAMMA Controller
Ext.Device Plugin: nullExtDev

My system specifications are as follows:

Operating System: Windows Server 2003 SP2 x86
CPU: P4 HT 3.2Ghz
Video Card: NV GF7600 GT@256mb
Sound Card: Realtek HD

Strange bug, it happens on all nullDC-NAOMI versions. But this file normally
launch on Demul 0.5.5

And Melty Blood Act Cadenza ver. B2 normally launch on NullDC.

P.S. In console looks like the emu detect rom size as 0.00MB and set address
space as 0.00MB... o_O but I properly made the lst!
P.P.S. I can send that rom for test.

Try decrypting the file from its GD-ROM image using one of the available tools
(one comes with nullDC Naomi v1.0.3) and try that decrypted file (the .lst file
should be created automatically if using the tool coming with nullDC Naomi
v1.0.3)

Wrong-decrypted rom? (I load it in Demul using function "load decrypted rom")

[ISSUE FIXED]

This is really wrong-decrypted rom.

Also request: add detecting of encrypted roms.

I'll turn it into an enhancement request then.
