Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?

1: Open NullDC
2: Select Normal Boot
3: Open a game (I tried Ikaruga and Mavel vs. Capcom 2)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

The expected output is: The Dreamcast boot screen

But instead I see: A windows error message saying NullDC has encountered a
problem and needs to close

What version of the product are you using? What build? What plugins?

I use version: 1.0.4 notrace win32 r50

I use a 1.0.4_Win32_Release-NoTrace build

I use the following plugins:

PowerVR Plugin: drkPvr_Win32.dll
GDRom Plugin: ImgReader_Win32.dll
AICA Plugin: nullAICA_Win32.dll
ARM7 Plugin: vbaARM_Win32.dll
Maple Plugin(s): PuruPuru_Win32.dll:0
Ext.Device Plugin: nullExtDev_Win32.dll

On what kind of system?

My system specifications are as follows:

Operating System: Windows XP Professional
CPU: Intel Pentium 4
Video Card: Nvidia Vanta
Sound Card: Creative AudioPCI
Additional related hardware and/or software: *Edit me*

Please provide any additional information below:

I use a PS3 controller for NullDC

The Nvidia Vanta is below the minimum requirements. It does not have some
required features so I suggest you give up on trying to run nullDC with it.

If you feel adventurous you can try updating DirectX 9.0c (9.0c, not 10 or 11)
to the most recent version (I think it's the June 2010 one) but don't expect
the thing to look right... if it works.

I forgot to add that when the game loads, I hear the dreamcast sound, but the
nullDC logo stays there.

There is absolutely no possibility of a Vanta running 1.0 beta 1.6 let alone 1.4

kosmos: Issue 57 was marked as invalid cause it was. The issue opener did not
have DirectX updated. Your issue is different.

I updated my Direct X yesterday, Ikaruga now works but it runs at about 30-40
fps. Marvel vs Capcom also works.

Good to know that the Vanta does not make the video plugin crash then. :)
