Sound flicker and interruption on test drive Le Mans #168

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
Greetings, I wrote because I was testing the Game "Test Drive Le Mans", and I
found a bug with the sound:

What steps will reproduce the problem?

1: Start the emulator, and open the european version of Test drive Le Mans
2: Start the game normally, but, whe the ingame music is enabled, the sound
flickers when I star a race, the game runs normally in graphics but the sound
flickers and interrupts.
3: The problem seems to be desapeared when the ingame music is muted, but, when
is in game seconds later.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

The expected output is: Not flicker sound

But instead I see: Flicker sound after Star a race in the game

Version of emulator: nullDC 104_r50

On what kind of system?

My system specifications are as follows:

Operating System: Windows XP SP3 Professional
CPU: Pentium D 3 GHz
Video Card: nVidia GeForce 7300 LE

I tested this on r56 - sound work fine in the menus, but as soon as the race
loads the sound engine gets stuck looping the first few seconds of sound. eg.
try quick race option (le mans) - you can hear the track announcer loop
continously. try other tracks - other looping sounds. There's no other sound
effects (engine etc.) or music playing as the sound engine is stuck looping.

This sound loop continues even when quitting back to main menu and starting
another race.

Seems similar to Looney Tunes sound bug, issue 221.
