Broken in Konqueror and Firefox 3.0.4 #1

After updating to Firefox 3.0.4 I noticed that the script no longer works
(tested on h3rald.com but on other sites too!).
Incidentally, it doesn't seem to work with Konqueror either.

Do either of you know if this is working again?  There's another issue that was 
raised on the 16th Nov - and my 
suspicion is that there was something wrong in the twitter feed (going by the 
other bug report).

I'll leave these open for now, but I suspect they're all related.

It works in Firefox, but it still doesn't work in Konqueror :-/

Incidentally, I just noticed the same problem (script stuck attempting to load 
twits) also on Opera 10 (internal build).

I've included the patch, but I've no way to verify the fix. 

@ninuje - if you could test 1.13.1 for me (there's a test.html in the test 
directory) - thanks.
